Common Questions
Home Electrical FAQ
How much does a panel upgrade cost in Central PA?
Most residential panel and service upgrades start around $2,200 and go up from there depending on the amperage (100A to 200A), the length of the service run, and whether the meter or mast needs work. You get a firm, itemized quote after a free on-site assessment, no surprises.
How long does a panel upgrade take?
Most 200A panel upgrades are a one-day job. We coordinate the power shutoff with the utility, swap the panel, re-land the circuits, and schedule the inspection. You're usually back to full power the same day.
Do you rewire older homes and knob-and-tube wiring?
Yes. Central PA has a lot of older housing, and we regularly replace knob-and-tube and ungrounded circuits, update aging wiring, and bring panels up to current code. We work around your finishes and schedule as much as possible.
Can you add outlets, circuits, and dedicated lines?
Absolutely. Dedicated 20A kitchen and bath circuits, garage and workshop outlets, 240V lines for dryers, ranges, hot tubs, and shop tools, and added receptacles wherever you need them are everyday jobs for us.
Do you install lighting and ceiling fans?
Yes, recessed and under-cabinet lighting, ceiling fans, exterior and security lighting, and fixture swaps. We handle the wiring, switching, and any boxes needed, cleanly and to code.
My breaker keeps tripping, can you help?
Yes. Troubleshooting is a big part of what we do, tripping breakers, dead outlets, flickering lights, burning smells, or failed inspections. We find the root cause and fix it right instead of just resetting it.
Are you licensed and insured?
