The Job
Not every install is a straight run.
The homeowner had just picked up a Hyundai Ioniq 5 and wanted a Level 2 charger on the far side of the house — away from the panel. The ChargePoint Home Flex was a good fit: flexible amperage, weatherproof, works with any EV.
The challenge was the routing. The panel was on the opposite side of the house, mounted against an exterior wall with a finished basement — no easy path through the interior. To avoid opening up finished walls, we went out the back of the panel directly through the exterior, ran conduit up the side of the house, through the attic, and back down to the charger location on the other side.
Dedicated 50-amp circuit, 40-amp charge rate. Clean exterior mount, weatherproof install. Completed in a single visit.
