Emporia EV Charger

A Park Forest homeowner just picked up a Kia EV6 and wanted a Level 2 charger installed in the attached garage. They'd already bought an Emporia. Solid pick, handles the EV6's 48 amp charge rate without breaking a sweat.

The routing was the interesting part. The panel sits on one wall, and the homeowner wanted the charger mounted on a structural post in the middle of the garage. Easier reach from where they park.

We pulled a 60 amp circuit from the Cutler-Hammer panel, ran about 35 feet of conduit across the garage ceiling to a point above the post, then flexible conduit down the side of the post to the Emporia.

Charger mounted, terminations made, breaker labeled. Up and running same day.
